Art Zeile, New CEO of HostMySite.com

June 20th, 2008 by John Eastman

Tell me what customers would see in terms of changes maybe over the next six months from HostMySite.com? And a follow-up to that would be what benefits?
ZEILE: I can tell you that they won’t see any change in the quality of service. Hopefully, that will only go up. Our operations and all elements of what we’re doing in New York, Delaware, stay the same. What kind of positive changes they can see in terms of what I hope Joel and myself can add– we come from a background where we had a full menu of services that we delivered to customers and I would say that we competed very well against IBM so literally, that level of menu of services at the time that we left Inflow. And I think that HostMySite.com has a good basic set of services that they can deliver to their customer set, but we’re going to enhance that in quick order; and hopefully, the six-month timeframe is a pretty short period of time, but I hope that customers will see new meaningful services that they say, “hey this is a great opportunity for me to outsource this to HostMySite.com.”

An example of that– I mean just to put something concrete on the table, being like PCI compliance. A lot of our customers do transactions via their websites and they have to be what is called “PCI compliant” so that they maintain a certain level of security associated with those transactions. There’s a lot of things that we can do to help our customers with those PCI compliance compliance and so we’ll be rolling out that kind of a service over the course of time.

Do you anticipate fee increases in terms of what customers pay for either domain purchases or domain hosting accounts over the next 6 to 12 months?
ZEILE: No. I don’t think so. I think that the prices are in line with market, and I haven’t thought about that at all. That’s not baked into any of our modeling or projections so we don’t anticipate that.

We talked about Wachovia possibly having their sites on other hosting firms and how this would benefit HostMySite.com’s growth– do you have any idea what size firms they’re looking at? Or to be direct about it, are there any deals in the making we’re going to hear about soon?
ZEILE: Nothing soon. In my opinion, we’re kind of just in the discussion stages. And deals generally take several months to unfold, and they kind of have their own complexion and personality so there’s nothing that I would say that anybody should expect anytime soon; but we’re hoping that we can encourage other folks in the industry to jump on board our van but nothing that you’d read about anytime in the near term.

Obviously, I’m close enough to it to say that there isn’t anything.
